Micronit was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of the University of Twente (The Netherlands) and currently employs around 100 enthusiastic and dedicated persons. Micronit provides solutions for product development and manufacturing of MEMS and microfluidic devices starting from initial concepts and designs up to high-volume manufacturing. The products are manufactured in two high-tech cleanroom facilities located in Enschede (The Netherlands) and Dortmund (Germany). Micronit has extensive know-how and intellectual property in the field of micromachining for microfluidic applications. The company is leading in the field of microfluidics and has close ties to both industry and academia.
